Mike, take off your quads and get some aftermarket Rear control arms. My car, 17x9, 6.0 back space, 275/40/17's. No problems.
My wifes car, 17x8.5, 5.75 back space, 275/40/17 quads flipped. No problems.

The quads were put there to reduce wheel hop, your control arms are what position the axle under the car...I don't know who said that above^^^
Flip 'em or just get rid of them and get a decent set of U/L's like odogg said and you'll be good on the wheel hop issue.
