Power Window Problem
Hey, i just bought a mustang, and the power windows were working fine, i put it down about fifteen minutes ago because it was hot, but by the time i got to the parking lot, i couldn't put them back up, both sides are messed up, i was thinking i had a window lock but there is none, you guys have any suggestions? i was thinking the fuse but i dont have a manual so i dont kno what fuse it could be.
very common pop the panal off and hit the sprocket wheel with a hammer or the motor they should go back up happens to me at least once a month haha too lazy to get new motors. just dont put them down all the way next time
When it happens to me I take a flat head screw driver and stick the flat part on one of the teeth on the gear driven by the motor. You hammer down on it pretty damn hard. Should go back up after that.
hmm, sorry for late replies but i went to a concert, anyways..i took off taht whole panel and i seen 2 little pieces but i didnt see any wheels, i whacked both of those hard and it didnt seem to work, do you think it could be the fusE? if so where is the fuse for the windows because i dont have the manuel.....thanks for all help though guys
just start pulling fuses till you find the blown one i dont now if your fuse box is the same as mine since i have an 84. but the wheel is at the front of the door up by the hinges. you should be able to see it its huge it looks like the big sprocket off a bike only a lot thicker
