this pissed me off
so i was at dinkin donuts this morning and i get in my stang to go home i turn it on and the ignition stuck at the ignition so i thought maybe its just dirty ill clean it when i get home but when i got home i got to turn it off and nothing it feels like the ignition i geuss ide say stripped for lack of a better word. how do i get it out and how much is a new one

Sounds like your lock cylinder is screwed. First realize that this is only a lock, the actual switch will be down on the steering column. Theres a heavy, stiff steel wire that goes from the lock cylinder down to the switch. Usually to pull a cylinder you have to put the key into it and turn it to a certain position and then use a heavy paper clip or a tool to push into a small hole to release the cylinder so it will come out of the column. I'm not certain of the particulars for a '95. Suggest getting a Haynes manual or something similar.

My best suggestion is to start calling around to parts stores. Napa, Advanced, Autozone, Carquest, Pep boys, etc. If they don't have it, you'll end up having to go to a dealer. Of course you're not likely to find a dealer parts that's open until after the weekend. I've found that Napa and Carquest often have things like this.
