I have a 95 5.0 gts mustang, gt 40 block. 302.. trick flow streat heat heads, track heat intake manifold, 80mm maff , stage one
trick flow cam. 9 lb powerdyne supercharger, 190 lph fuel pump, 24 lb injectors, bbk fuel pressure reg. powerdyne fuel management
unit, headers . h pipe 2 chamber flows, 1.6 roller rockers . msd 6a btm ignition . The problem is Im getting 3000 hc's all the way through the powerband, this was a problem before the supercharger too. I can not run cats because it will burn them up . does any one
know how to get the hc/s down for smog?

I dont understand what you mean about burning up your cats?
Why cant you run cats?

Thats what you need, that what they're there for.
to get rid of hydro-carbons, smog pump too pumps
fresh air into exahust to help burn off remaining HC's.

No reason you shouldn't be able to run some nice high flow
cats on that set-up.

A good dyno tune of the EEC to optimize
air fuel ratios and timing would help too.

if you're 10x's over what a cat is designed to handle then
it sounds to me like you have some serious tune issues.
an EFI engine s/c or not should not be that dirty.

Did you remove the EGR? the computer has to be told
the EGR is turned off with a custom chip.

Did you ever have a custom chip burned from a dyno tune?

i bet thats your problem, you can get these EFI cars to
run on a s/c with out updating the computer, but they're
going to give you the problems you're having.

Get it dyno tuned, then see where your emmissions are at.
It bet they come WAY down, and you pick up some hp.

You're really supposed to tell the computer if you change
injectors and mass air and especially with an s/c

you can always try www.tweecer.com and try and do some
of the more basic tune stuff your self. If you get TweecerRT
it will let you see exactly what the EEC is seeing along with
changing parameters.

SN95 computers were supposed to be even more touchy of
cam changes too.
