Looking to get a new transmission... I was looking towards the t-5 but I just read it safely runs up to 325 or 30ft/lbs of torque. Thing is I'll be running a 408 stroker with a set of heads, a nice carb, headers, 3inch exhaust with flowmasters, new cam, noisy gear drive, new intake, bigger throttle body... basically it's going to be my high performance car.

What transmission would be safe to run with everything listed...?

 

Personally, I would run a PA Comp (or supercomp) C4.

 

1] ...a 408 will be pushing more than that to the ground EDIT: I misread, my bad...you were saying that's all the T5 will hold....[]
2] ...a T5 barely cuts it for stock in some instances. Look at a Tremec TKO or T56, or a GForce setup.

Where could I find that c4 tranny? can't find it on jegs and... well I hate summit.

 

i know they came stock in some vehicals...
