Im puttin in double springs to keep the valves from floating. Im Runnin 150 shot NOS, 3.73 gears, BBK CAI, And 24# Inj. This is a street/strip car. Need help on which cam to go with without haveing to cut the pistons.. Any ideas?

How could one have the springs then want a cam recommendation, you dont know recommended installed height, coil bind and other factors. Your doing it backwards and will possibly bite you in the *** real quick

Actually going with a better spring is fine, I do it all the time. He is right about the stockers floating at RPM's much above 5000 rpm. He won't really hurt anything. How do you guys think we spun a stock cammed 302 to nearly 7000 rpm and made 520+ rwhp? (it had a blower as well)

Its not an issue of going to a better spring, its about buying springs first then matching the cam, when that is totally backwards

i bought my assembled victor jr heads. .650 lift rated springs. then a cam. id get an E cam or a TF st.1. buying springs first is nothing major if you know youre not gonna be liftin .600+ or something, which i doubt hell be doing since he dont wanna cut the pistons.

True that is a backwards way of doing it, but it's not really going to hurt anything. If it were my car I would just leave the stock cam in it unless he has aftermarket heads.
