yeah, the octane booster will help. just add one bottle first and then run the tank down about 1/4 of a tank and then put some 93 octane in it as soon as there's room for some and repeat this until it doesn't ping and this will get you past the 87 octane problem. Then you can run it on down and keep using 93 octane and you'll be OK. why did you use 87 octane in the first place??

I didn't want to spend the money on premium (only once in a whike.. im 17 too) so I did the timing with 89 octane and got the most I could out of it till it pinged.

Compression ratios have a lot to do with that as well VFAST.

And i say start low as well.Move in very small increments no need to get crazy and do damage. And i think we all have seen detonations aftermath some worse than others.

Mine has been at around 13 or 14 ever since I got it and I used to run 87 octane when I didn't have much money and it always ran fine.

duh.....going from the 89 to the 93 and paying .10+ cents for .5 hp is not worth it...just think 20 gal wk 52x2=104 bucks thats 2 flowmasters and 5 hps atleast..so in setting your time to work with 89 will pay you back vs 93. not using the 104 6.00 cans
52x6.00=312.00 will pay for a nice used nitrous system and about 100hp..all about watching the pennies
