I'm from Rhody, Nobody around here has cats. ****, even the import guys cut them out of hollow them out. But its not hard to find a shop around here where you can toss the guy an extra 30 or 40 to pass the car with out them.

My BBK cat's are sitting right here next to me. I don't want to get rid of my prochamber. At least the three piece exhaust bolts up fast

It really depends on where you are and how strict they are with the emissions laws. For ex: I am not 100% sure on this but I believe that in Cali you can get a $2,400 fine for ever missing cat (I think thats it). I know a lot of people who run off road pips in Jersey and 99% of the time do not have a problem.

oh they will look under ur car, believe me.
ive had it happen to me twice
both times i had cats....
its funny cause my mustang is the loudest car ive owned and i havent been pulled over

umm. To bad know one new what the acctual fine in MA is. Brings another thought in mind. I know when I get BBK shorties my exhaust will get deeper and louder. How about The off road H pipe does it make much of a difference in sound vs keeping the original 4 cats? I know my flow will be restricted thus HP.

No cats here and so far, so good. I was pulled over and given a ticket for going 70 in a 55 though. The guy knew I didn't have cats - he could hear and smell it, but he didn't say a word to me about it.
I also just got my car inspected today. Passed with flying colors
Of course, in VA, technically they cannot fail you on the state inspection for not having cats, or even not having mufflers! Luckily they don't run emissions tests in my town like they do in some parts of VA.
