Well, I am not sure if Im going to buy it now. I was almost convinced last night by all my friends that auto's were for women lol haha jp. But I think I might look for a 5spd... not sure yet but Im still going to go check this car out tomorrow hopefully Im just worried about how weak the T-5 is... but than again... so is the AOD.

rmodel.... yea I know I just found that out last night. It shouldnt be a problem though because I know a lady who does the auto loans for the credit union (where Im getting mine from) and she said that their book value is always higher than kelly blue book. So hopefully it will be around 4K and than I can just put down the difference in cash.

There is nothing wrong with an AOD, it can be built and it can be fast.

Yes, I know that 100%. But it would be nice to have a 5spd though... the only thing is. I havent driven a 5spd in like 3 years (when I was 15-16) and Im just worried about doing something stupid and wrecking it..... like two threads above lol

dont let that stop you from gettin a 5 speed. It takes no time to get used to if you've had one before. If you want an auto the car looks gorgeous, but if its not exactly what you want then wait.

I never had one before but I drove one around for a while a few years ago. Just reading the thread about the kid who totalled his stang makes me wonder... I just dont want to be put into a situation that I dont know what to do in (with a 5spd) and screw up ya know lol but everyone keeps on telling me that after two days of driving it I will have it down... who knows. In totally clueless now lol

If you've ever driven one before and got used to it ur fine. That kid did something very stupid. Anyone that knows how a manual tranny works would not have gone into that low of a gear. If he had been lighter on the gas and less agresive letting the clutch out he would have been fine. For all he knows there could have been oil or something else on the road that f-ed him up. Just make sure the tires are good for rain and you'll be fine. People drive lots more powerful cars in the rain and snow than a Mustang...

Edit: Even with an automatic, if you're not smart about driving in the rain you can end up just like that kid did...

^^ True True. I driven a 5spd but nothing crazy. Literally, like a few hours a few times and thats it. I dont know I just dont want to be put into a situation that I cannot handle ya know... especially w/ a new stang! I think I might look for a $200 dollar beater from the junkyard thats a 5spd and just rip it around for a week or two and than sell it back... who knows.

Well, another good thing about it is I have a DD (00 Intrepid) so this will not be my everyday driver. Just a weekend cruiser ya know.
