Default Explorer intake question

What year of explorer do you have to get the intake off of? I read in here it was 1997 1/2 and newer? is this correct? or is it 95-97 V8'?

thanks

Ok I just saw a set of trick flow street on ebay for $395.00 and then the used explorer intakes for $225.00 plus $40.00 for shipping, It is probably well worth the Extra $$$ to get the Trick flows over the explorer right?

Ok one more question if the trick flow has a 75mm opening and i have a 76mm MAF and a 70mm throttle body, this will be ok just not getting full potential? and if I upgrade the intake and don't do heads yet, stock injectors are going to be ok for now?

It'll be fine, I'm running a 70mm TB and a 75mm MAF and there is nothing wrong with it.

stock injectors(19lbs) are good up to about 300 hp. you could add heads, cam, and intake and still use them. of course at that point it would be a good idea to upgrade cuz no one stops at 300 hp.

it all depends on the combo and tune. my point was that you will be at ABOUT 300 hp (definitely not way past). i have seen several combos that do just fine with the 19lbers.

It depends on what you plan on doing with your car, if you plan on putting some big power adders on then your car will be gasping for air with that explorer intake. I think your better off getting the trickflow. I plan on getting the trickflow myself.
