Nice. Brings a concern. I am defentally bringing back my stang to MA. I can't remember what it says on the door. Is there something substancial that I should know about? I called some crazy 800 number and they said as long as the car was built in USA there is no fee's. How can I confirm everything will go smoothly?

Again, look at the door frame and see what the decal says. If it says the vehicle conforms to all US DOT specs, you are good to go. Do you have the car with you now?

I import cranes from Germany on a regulare basis, and there are EPA importation rules.
on cranes it's only 1996 and newer for engine emission requirements.

but you need to check with U.S. customs on what they require for car import
and documents and certifications you will need before buying anything.

yep, I can buy 94 and newer Mustangs all day long ranging from $2000-6000. Unfortunately they don't have the DOT labeling or EPA. [:@]

Just check it out before you spend the $$$$$$$$$$. Would hate to see you having to spend an additional $3000-4000 to get the car into the US. Keep me posted on what you are able to find, might be a loophole out there.

yeah, funny they tax by engine size over there, 5.0L engines cost ALOT in tax vs. a 1.2L turbo model.
