I have a 95 GT with an AODE. I just installed 3.73 gears and want to resolve 2 issues. First, I need to have the tranny shift harder. I know a shift kit will resolve that. My second issue is when I am in first gear and shift to second, the car still accelarates before shifting. My question is what shift kit is recommended and will it resolve my shifting issue? Thanks!

 

its electronic.. all autos do it

 

Transgo is a good company for shift kits. Some people don't like B&M but i haven't had any problems. and for the shifting, there is always gonna be some lag when you click it into the next gear because as explicit said, it's electronic, not mechanical.

 

sounds like what you want is a manual valve body...it will give you full manual control of your aod.

check into lentech...they do an electronic one that goes both ways. (had to say that....)

you'll also want a 3000 converter and shift kit
