Default tranny rebuild price

just got a quick question, my friend works at a garage and his boss said he would rebuild my t-5 for 400 dollars, is this a pretty good deal? i have a rebuild kit any everything, all i gotta do is give it to his boss and they get cracking

remember thats just basic stuff, it will cost more for bearings sliders, stuff like that

i mean the kit i have has everything needed i assume for a rebuild, syncros, gaskets, its got all the stuff, just a big job i guess, i hear its more like a 700-800 dollar job to get a tranny rebuild

I got the rebuild kit of ebay for $159 shipped, it was a good kit, had almost eveything. I did it myself and it went well, much easier than I thought it would be. I would buy a new steel bearing retainer before you rebuild also.
