classic example of why you shouldnt base everything on price. I have read so many replies the last week about the cost of gear changes, and I replied in one thread that said a competent mechanic will charge what he feels he is worth.

I'm not trying to find out how much he paid for the job so that I have an idea of how much it would cost me to have it done. The only thing it will cost me is a little bit of time and elbow grease. I just want to have an idea of how much he got raped by his mechanic.

Some diff cover bolts loosening up isn't that big of a deal. But if you pay to have a job done you expect it to be done right. Been there done that, there isn't a engine shop/machine shop in the tri county area I'll take my stuff to.

Get your money back...get them to pay for someone else to do the rearend the right way. Do something. Break their windows, **** man. **** them over like they ****ed you over. That's not something to let slide and say oh well. That's a VITAL organ to your damned car man.
What brand did they put in your car? Gears and oil brand. If you have it relubed...get the 75/90 ROYAL PURPLE. It's the best thing your rear end will ever sip on.
