SN's have about 150-200#'s on a fox vert from what I've read. If your 95 is auto and his vert is manual, probably even more difference.

I'm just saying that putting a cam in a near stock 5.0 is a waste of money. It will take away torque to make up for power in the higher rpm's which is pointless with the stock heads and intake which stop making power at about 4600-4800 rpm.

I have a custom Comp Cams Xtreme Energy nitrous cam that is specialy grinded for my car. Its got 221/240 duration @0.050 with .510/540 of lift and an operating range of 1000-5500 rpm which is perfect for my car cause it still has stock heads exept for Comp Cams dual valve springs.

The only cam that I would put in a stock 5.0 is the E303 cam. Its still retains most of the low end torque that the factory cam has + it adds some power up top.

a cam in any pushrod motor adds more than 5hp... its a driver race...... depending on what is all done and his tranny. why dont you just run him?

Your 3.73's are really going to help if he still has the 2.73's. Your going to pull him out of the hole but try not to dump the clutch and spin as this will be an advantage for him.

Race him and find out, and please post back. Nobody ever posts back what happens.
