Default is my 95 gt coupe slow??

i now there are a lot of smart mustang enthusiests that know their stuff on this forums so i really could use your input and advice. i have a 95 gt coupe. with all the mods i have, i figured i would be in the 13's but thats not the case. i resently went to the track and couldn't run anything better than a mid 14. i am running bald street tires and possibly have busted torque boxes( have a loud clunking coming from the rearend ) so i know i'm lossing time not being able launch my car without spinning through the first 2 gears (could i really be lossing half a second just on the launch??). anyway, i know a 5-speed 95 gt is suppossed to run around a 14.8 so i find it hard to believe that with all my mods i only knocked 3 tens of a second of my e/t.

heres a list of my mods (car was bone stock when i bought it)

engine and drive train

gt-40p heads
1.7 cobra rocker arms
e-303 cam
mac cold air intake
underdrive pulleys
mac short tube headers
mac h-pipes
flowmaster catback
t-5 worldclass tranny (swapped from aode)
pro 5.0 short throw
ford racing heavy duty clutch
373 gear

suspension

eibach sportline springs
taciko blue shocks and struts
17x9 03 cobra rims
kumo 275/40/17 in the back (bald)

does anyone have any suggestions? i know my car needs a tune because the 94-95 computers don't responde to mods well (my car also backfires now when shifting at high rpms).
what should my car be running with these mods? i can hang even with 98 cobras from a roll and stomp new edge gt's. mid 14's don't add up. thanks guys

I'm sure your having pretty big issues with launching with torque box problems and espeically on balled tires. My opinion, No way in hell a stock 94 GT breaks into the 14's, unless you run the living **** out of it and powershift every gear. But with the work you have done, your making significant power over stock, I'm sure you can break into the 13.'s with ideal circumstances. Assuming your an able bodied driver.
Hook up some drag radials and some hard launches, you'll be in the 13's my friend. Good luck with everything, let me know if you sink 13's.

i can't find my time slips and its been over a month since i went to the track so i cant remember exactly what my 60 fts were but i know theyre bad. i get owned off the line all the time ( and normally lay the smack down from a roll). i can't launch my car to save my life. like i said, i have a loud clunk from the rear end so my torque boxes may be broken

when i first bought my car, bone stock with an aode i ran a 15.1. 14's with a 5-speed should be that hard. one of my buddies was running 14.7's with a flowmaster catback in his 94 5-speed

yes, yes , yes , yes , and yes

every .10 of 60 foot is worth 2 tenths ET

you NEED cheater slicks, you'll never get more than a 2.0 60' on street tires...et street radials will get 1.7-1.9's all day long

that clunking could be southsides? do you have stock control arms?

your ET's should be about 1 second faster. i see ez 13.50-13.80's all day long

yeah, i have factory control arms. im sure the bushings are shot after 11 years of abuse. i'm looking at nitto 285/40/17 drag radials. what do you think? also, what are some good control arms? i've looked at uprs cause theres a good price and i've heared good things about upr.
