ive been looking on ebay and ive seen 8.8 3.73 taken out of explorers and rangers and stuff for like 80 bucks.... worth it or what?

ive seen new gears for 120 or so, why not spend a little more for the guarantee that they're new/unabused?

deffently gears.. but hey if u go the mgears and ur ganan later put a s/c or turbo in it then i duno i think i would reconsider the gears .. its up to u though

when you do the gears its a good idea to do carrier bearings as well. i also do axle seals and axle bearings and pinion bearings. just to make sure the rear end is solid.


youll need the diff cover gasket, pinion seal, and some fluid. pretty sure thats it. been a while since i did an 8.8 and like pro5.0 said, its probably better to have someone who knows what they're doing do it.
