87-? cheese grater tail lights..?

87-? cheese grater tail lights..?

Is the 'cheese grater' part removeable for the purpose of painting? If not, has anyone painted theirs? If so, how did you do it? Thinking on a set for my 86 (yea, i'm crazy...like the look).

Think he might be thinking of the grates itself off the lens. Not the whole lense, you have to tape it off if that is what you are thinking.

he's painting...

he wouldnt want paint all over the lens

SO your saying the 'grates' do not come off and I would have to mask off the lens (even between the grates) in order to paint????
