Default Bang for the buck HP!!!

Alright, I work with this dude at work who owns this peice of crap integra . This dude and me were arguing on how much the diffrence of cost in building a low buck mustang or camaro to a P.O.S integra or civic.

Now to my minumn 12 years of experience with cars and trucks I have come to find out that you can pickup and swap parts from a junkyards and get a fairly decent ride . Anyways this dude is saying he can put about 300 hp in an integra for about a 3 grand and whoop the crap out of me all day. Now i dont know to much about these so called rice rockets but i do know that he is somewhat lying. The one thing I do know is that are always in my rear vieww mirror (lol) .

Now I know I can get some 4.10 gears in a 5.0 COUPLE OF BOLT ONS AND JUST WALK ALL OVER THESE LITTLE WEED EATERS ALL DAY LONG. i TOLD HIM THAT JUST ADDING NITROUS TO THAT PEICE OF CRAP IS A WASTE OF TIME , AND IT WOULD BLOW UP LATER (LOL).

Can someone who unfourtanatley knows these cars disprove his theory !!!!!!!!!!! Thanks

Tell him to put up or shut up.

I don't know of a cheaper way to go fast then to start with a 5.0

Yeah...you'll walk all over them unless one of them pulls up beside you covered in all those stickers of manufacturers that nobody has ever heard of. Then you will be so intimidated that you will be worrying more about soiling yourself then racing one of those powerhouses.

For about 3,000 dollars you can be pushing 320-400. For a little bit more you can make it hook and run 11-12 second 1/4 mile times.

Lets just say he spent about 3 grand in aturbo, Right . he would have to upgrade his tranny, so on the cheap lets say 1,200 bucks. then better supension and tires to manage the power $1000 bucks. and of course some engine modifying. he looking at close to 8 grand after hes done , Ont he cheap!!!!!!!!!

Now, I dont know about you guys But i could sure do a tons of crap to my car for 8 grand and pull way more than 300 hp..

You be the JUDGE!!

Don't talk to the ricer boy anymore, race him right now as he is and then ask him if his money was well spent on that POS after you smoke him.

you put 300hp on an integra bottom end and its going to pop something i gaurantee that, most of my buddies are ricers....not dumb *** ricers with stickers..,they are car smart but are being led wrong.....for about 8 grand....i could have a stroked 408 running 11's on a sh*tty track.

My buddies are ricers but arnt morons like most of them. THey know that their extreme modified (Turbo'd, nitrous, etc.) their B16, B18's just to keep up with a minor bolt on (Exhaust, Intakes, gears) Mustangs. And its much more exspensive to really get into building a 4 banger than it is to just throw together a scrap yard built 5.0.

for 3 grand he could do a gsr swap and put it on the bottle. and probably get some sweet underglow neon lights that add like 100 horsepower.
