Every mechanic "knows what he's doing"...until he messes something up. But seriously, it does sound like a good deal. You just have to figure out if it's too good to be true.

I would be a bit wary. First off, a golden rule is: don't do business with your friends (relatives of friends counts). Second, it sounds like this guy had his eye on your a/c; maybe he figured he could snag it with some b/s and get some extra cash in the process. Third-he said he can do all the work in a day? A tranny rebuild and a steering column, plus everything else, is he a superhero? And finally:never do business with your friends (not if you want to keep them anyway). Just my thoughts.

^^^^^^+100000 Thats very true. Becuase then if anything ever goes wrong it puts you in a very awkward situation. Ive learned that the hard way [:@]
