RE: Cam plug oil leak - EAK!
Well dealer called - oil leak is now supposedly coming from the rear main cap and they want another $500 to fix. I don't think I should have to pay for the first attempt to fix is since the car leaked as much if not more oil after their first repair attempt so whatever they said was leaking the first time (cam plug and rear main seal) obviously wasn't the cause of the leak! Problem is I have no way to prove either case - arrg!
Also mentioned that after the first attempt at repairing the oil leak the car now is more difficult to shift into first and reverse gear (of course there's nothing they did that would effect the shifting of the car). I tried to explain that I wasn't a transmission mechanic but that something after the first repair attempt made the car more difficult to shift in those gears (I can see this is going to be a battle). Man does anyone take pride in their work these days??? What a shame...
