Default stock rebuild price opinion

Motor started making some pretty good noise, dont have money for the 351 right now so thats gotta wait.

got qouted $1,600 for a turn-key drive in / drive out stock rebuild w/ over bore to 306
Sounded reasonable to me, what do yall think?

this is all i can afford for right now, and dont have time or space
to do it myself, or mess with putting together some performance combo.

can you afford a forged rebuild kit or stroker kit? if so i would go that route.

drive it in - drive it out, they even offered to tow it in for free if needed.

again no time or space to do a self overhaul/rebuild, I'm look'n for quick and easy
stroker kit alone is $2,000

saw 306 forged kits are only $850, maybe i'll ask em what kinda deduction I can
get if I provide the rotating parts in a kit from CoastHigh.
