Default Cobra R's or New Rubber?

I got quotes today, now remember this is in Canadian funds.

Only tire that's available that I can find in my ghetto *** town for turbines are BFG's 225/60/15 for $675.

Or I could splurge and loose the stock look of my GT and get those replica 17' Cobra R's with generic rubber (can't remember the brand) for $1185.

I do plan on doing a 5 lug sometime in the future, but who know's when that'll be.

which way would you go? just tires and spend the rest on other fun stuff? or splurge and get the 17's?

Personally, I'd invest in the rims you want...you're almost there...well not quite but you're 500 bucks away and instead of wasting 675, you can sell your turbines for a little cash...and be even closer. That's just me.

It seems like a waste when you're talking about that much for a set of tires - you're more than halfway there to the rims and tires you'd rather have, you know?

wtf.... or those sizes you should be paying $99 for a four-set. What does everyone run in Canada? 20's? A set of tires 18/40/245 run me $400. That is rediculous dude... Around here I can get cobras and tires for like $500 from craiglist (the originating area, bay area of craigslist).

yea, everything in Canada is way overpriced... but what can I do? I'd love to buy online but the shipping is like 2 bills and who knows how much the government will ding you for at the border.

Just think, the average price of a fox with suttle mods and decent milage is around 10k Canadian...

I thought about it and i'm just gonna go for the R's and forget about the 5lug conversion... 1185 for rims and tires is a steal up here.
