Pulley Installation. Help ASAP.
I'll be purchasing some underdrive pulley's tomorrow and am not sure on the installation. In my head it's take pulleys off, put new ones on, but i know there is going to be some kind of roadblock in the way. Are they easy? Do you need any special tools other than some sockets and muscle? Im thinking for some reason you need a tool to take off one of them.
If someone could give a detail installation it would be much appreciated.
By the way i think im going with the aluminum BBK's just because i dont want to wait for Jeg's to order any others. Want to put them on tomorrow.
Thanks for any help.

RE: Pulley Installation. Help ASAP.
*Mechanical Newbie* Whats an impact? Taken a shot in the dark, something that hits something very hard loosening up the bolts?
If so, how will i get the pulley back on. And should the bolts be set to a certain torque? Or just til they are tight?

Mr.Gasket pullies here.
You wont have any problems this is easy!
It took me 20 minutes to remove the fan shroud, old pullies, and put the new ones on and have it back together. To make it even worse i was on the phone with my girl friend a majority of the time so you know i wasnt hurrying.
These are simple.
You will need an impact gun to get the alternator pulley off or go to a autozone or parts store theyll do it for you.I have an electric like they use and an air powered impact gun both will work fine.
Dont worry man these are a 1 on a skill level of 1-10.10 being the hardest. You may need a new belt though.I did it went from a 74.4 inch belt to a 73 inch belt.So be prepared i cant say how much if any you will be short or have too long. But watch out its a good possibility.

Take it to a autozone or parts store. If you have to ask you dont have one.
They wont charge you and it takes about 2 minutes. You may need a new belt anyways so you might as well have them do it.

Haha sorry im just not wanting to get halfway through and be stuck.
I will need to take the fan shroud off? The other 2 pulleys just need a socket wrench correct?
