RE: MAC vs. FLOWMASTER
flows are also on every car around you usually. the mac's sound really good if youve not heard them in person. it would be a tough choice for me. but being different is always good.

Well, the guy I am dealing with, compared them to near the same sound, with the MAC being louder. The MAC is all coated black which is nice, with the price being $382, and the Flow system is $311. I don't really want it crazy loud so, I think Flow will be the way to go.

+1 What Onyx said... the american thunders are pretty loud inside. If you have them w/ 4.10's or something cruising at 2,400rpms they could get very annoying.

How much of a lower tone are they than the american thunders? Thats the thing, I have american thunders at home that Im going to put on my 93 this weekend but Im also getting 4.10's VERY soon, I dont want it to be dreadful. I remember it was pretty bad w. my stock gears in my 88. I just want something deep and not too loud until you get on it ya know....not sure what to get.

No, I think I misread your post. You will gain performance from an exhaust but not much. I thought you were saying about when people ask wether they should go with XXXX or XXXX is they were asking for performance reasons. I was just saying that most people do comparisons for the sound not for the performance. The hp gain is minimal. If you do a full exhaust (headers back) than you will feel a little difference but the gain is still minimal there also. Exhaust is definetly not a "bang for the buck" kind of thing..... its mostly about the sound.
