alot of car shows have taken interest in the 5.0's and often dyno them stock with tons of miles. ive yet to see a 5.0 push over 200 rwhp stock
still.. these cars are very quick from the factory and they react to mods very well.
im assuming your next question will be, whats the best mod? AFR 165 heads, hands down
3.79/4.10 gears will make your car signifcantly quicker too

so what, if i give my bone stock 88 5.0 a good tune up
plugs, wires, rotor, cap, yadda blah etc. convert it to MAF and slap on some 165's
throw on some upper/lower control arms, subframes, and some drag suspension
it'll run 12's with some sticky rubber?
this just seems to goo to be true.

bolt-ons + H/C/I + suspension and sticky tires will get you in the mid 12s.
EDIT: wait wait wait ....what model are we talking about here ? i always assume a 5spd notch, but that's not always the case.
