When I first heard they were doing that I was kinda upset too, but the way they fit it into the movie made everything OK. I have nothing against imports, and the skyline has an amazing engine, but putting it in a Mustang just seemed kinda wrong, but like I said, fit in the movie. I guess this is how all those RX-7 guys feel when people put 350s in them .

Heh, I own a 86 Mustang here in Canada.... and I own a 03 R34 Skyline Vspec in Japan.

As much as I love my Stang, it can't touch the Skyline. You really have to drive one to get a good understanding of what that car is all about.

#1- this movie series pretty much sucks! #2- only reason I liked the first or the second movie was for the the Classic American muscle cars #3- I have seen drifting first hand here in Japan...... boring! it's only fun when some idiot takes out a guard rail and destroys his $50,000 car..... #4- the GTR Skyline is so overly mass produced here in Japan... it's like driving in the US seeing a Mustang or Camaro... really doesn't get much attention. #5- as for putting a GTR engine in a classic Muscle car.... a total waste of time and effort.

WTF, that's blasphamy.

Actually, I only like the second one, bec the dudes drive the charger and yenko camaro for 1/2 of the movie.

And that's pretty cool.

(btw, how come ford only had the 428CJ in the mustang when dodge had the 440 magnium? In real life, steve mcqueen would have lost to that charger
The Charger in Bullet had a 426 Hemi in it. Watch the movie closely and you see the Charger just laying waist to the Stang in the straights. The driver in the Charger was actually told not to drive to fast because he blowing the Stang away too much

Hehe funny about some of your points, the main character is a v8 guy and the movie starts with a badass domestic race, and more than a few cars are destroyed while drifting, you should really check it out as long as you can get past the motor swapped stang.
