RE: GT40-P Heads
VertStang Iam acxtually planning to buy a used set from a friend of mine. He had them on a 93 Gt and the car ran very good. He has a blower and they seemed to hold pretty good. Guys at the track seem to say good things about them as well.

RE: GT40-P Heads
Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords got about the same flow numbers when they tested them last year, but they also put them on the dyno on a 306 ci engine using a Comp Cams Extreme Energy XE264HR cam with .512 lift on both intake and exhaust and 218/218 duration with a 114 degree lobe separation. they compared 8 sets of heads to the stock heads and the GT-40P had a peak HP of 336 and peak torque of 359 while the stock heads peaked at 306 HP and 342 torque. The GT-40P heads come out dead last in their comparison with the other heads which included, in peak hp order, the Windsor Jr @ 351., the GT-40 @ 353, the Holley 17 @ 377, Canfield @ 371, Edelbrock Performer @ 384, Brodix @ 375, and AFR 165 @ 396. The entire test article is in the September 2003 edition of MM&FF if you want to see it. I would advise you to read it before you purchase your heads.

One other thing I forgot to mention......These heads to take a special set of headers. For stock and the money they're not a bad set of heads but if you're looking for something to give you more potential later on then get some AFR 165's IMO. The GT-40Ps are for those very mild set ups trying to save money if you ask me.
