I hope so. The one thing about those imports is that they rev really high about 9000 rpm which makes their gears seem a lot longer than ours. Also the weight is a big factor. They are light and quick off the hole. Our V8 is a little slower off the line and with his V-tec he could be dangerous. If you have automatic and he has stick you will be in trouble. If he has auto you have a good chance with a 5-speed. A set of 3:73 or 4.10 gears will help you a lot off the line. Also bump your timing a bit to 14 degrees that will make your car a bit quicker. Good luck it doesn't hurt to try.

Unless the newer ones are better then the early 90's and he's an auto he won't run much better then a 16.

You'll have a better chance off the line than if you start at a certain speed. V-tec don't kick in until a good ways up the tach. They don't have any torque. Alot of Honda guys want to race from like 45 or 50mph where they're at the point V-tec kicks in.

I hate Hondas, but looking at youre mods i'd walk away. a friend of mine had a red 99, with just a K&n filter. And he was hitting constant 14.7's. I dont know how much an intake, headers and exhaust add. But if you cant beat a 14.7, then you know whats gonna happen. good luck bro
