Default Getting Gears Installed

Is this everything that I need? If anyone can think of anything else please let me know. I should be having this done this weekend if money is good. Thanks fellas.

FRPP 4.10's $190
FRPP Ring and Pinion Installation Kit $95.88 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
FRPP Traction-Loc Kit $40.88 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
FRPP Friction Modifier is included in the trac-loc kit. Is the RedLine FM the same thing?

Even though the trac-loc is fine right now I rather just spend the $40 bucks extra and do everything now than have to open it back up in 6 months you know.

Yep, it appears that is everything you need. But while youre in there you might wanna consider getting a C-clip eliminator kit, well worth it in my opinion. Couldnt find you the link in summit, it didnt wanna load for me.

I would also get a extra crush sleeve to have "just in case". Once you crush it you can't just "loosen" it.

What fluid are you going to use? I'd go w/ the Royal Purple 75w90 if you haven't already bought something. It has the friction modifier in it, too....

I havent talked about the fluid w/ LaRoccas yet. They said that they would provide it but we didnt get into detail. I think I am going to provide everything and just let them to install it.

Would it matter if I put the FFPP friction modifier in it along w/ the royal purple since that has friction modifier in it also?

I don't know...I wouldn't do both unless I knew it would be okay. Just sell it on ebay or somewhere...

Well, I didnt even get it yet so it doesnt matter. They also said unless gear oil is supplied they use regular castrol synthetic so I think I will get the royal purple and still try to find out about the friction modifier.

Also, I am no longer going to rebuild the trac-loc because they charge close to $200 to do that alone so thats out of the question. So now they want to charge me $350 at a base price (not 100% but in that area) for install the gears & the FFRP Gear install kit which comes w/ the cover gasket, pinion shime, carrier shims, crush sleeve, pinion seal, pinion nut, ring gear bolts, head bearing, tail bearing, carrier bearings, axle seal and axle bearings.

I just hope my trac-loc doesnt take a crap anytime soon.

4 lug 31spline axles are relatively cheap, you could go ahead and
upgrade to 31spline axles and traction-loc for about $150 more than you're spending now.

Well, Im pretty tight for cash right now so I think Im going to have to do w/ out the trac lok rebuild kit and anything else. Now, Im just wondering if I should use a bottle of friction modifier or not because the royal purple already has it in there...
