Default arrrgggghhhhhhh...............

today i went to bleed the lines on my car. turns out i cannot ghetto rig the rear main brake line apparantly a steel line cannnot be used where i'm trying to put it. the way the flanges ends on it are it just makes it leak. my dad looked at it and said it must have had a hose on the end where it hooks up to the line conecting the rear line to the line that runs from the front. what a horrible morning. none of the places around here have what i need, none of the junkyards either. i plan to call holcomb motorsports tomorow morning and see what they can do. roundman sent me a link to where they have a brake line kit for the 86, but all i need is the rear brake line...the two in front are new i just replaced them last month. anyone ever dealt with holcomb before? if so you think they would send just the rear brake line?

Don't know about them, not sure what you're saying though, did you try and replace the rear and it's leaking? Did you make the lines yourself? If so sometimes you have to double flare the ends if they're leaking, it's a little bit of a tighter seal.

i don't know how to explain it....i just know it wont work with regular steel brake line, it needs to be like a hose with a flat top screw on end or somethin.

I'll go take a loot at mine tomorrow and see what you're talking about and I can probably help you our better after that. A double flare is with metal lines, a single is when the end is "flared" out just in front of the nut and a double is when that is bent back onto itself again. Doesn't really matter though if it's not what you're tlaking about
