2650rpm at 60mph!
Hey guys I recently bought an 87 notchback setup for the quarter mile and I am confused about something. My old 88 cobra with 373's reved at about 2100rpm at 60mph but my 87 here with 373's reves at 2650 at 60. I have verified that the tach and speedo are correct. Could the car have different tranny gears? Both cars are 5 speed's . THanks in advance!

RE: 2650rpm at 60mph!
no, if it's a t5 of any spec, and really any other trans, 2-5 is the same. if not close enuff, 4th will be 1:1 no matter what , and od is about .068
something is not correct, i'm betting speedo, those numbers actually come out to like 4.9x gears
