Overheating help...
MY 94 Cobra is overheating. New thermostat and nothing changed... I think the fan might not be going on (electric) when it should from a sensor. I tried pulling codes, but I know the fan works just not with the car running.
Could just the fan make it overheat? What else could be wrong?

Its got to be a sensor or something. The fan does work it goes on during diagnostics but no matter how hot the car is while running it doesn't go on. Any ideas about a sensor or something like that?

the 94's and 95's had a recall on the fan..... Its your connectors on the back of the fan they melt together and short out... Check it out...
Also the stock fans do not have a seperate fan switch, the switch is integral with your PCM.. so could be PCM or your engine coolant Temp sensor... The PCm sends signal to the CCRM check those also, and you might have a bad relay.... the relay controls the fan until your PCM tells it to turn it off.....

RE: Overheating help...
The fans relay is what burns out and needs replaced.
Its a small box usually near the fan or under the dash.
All the fans that have burnt out on me i just buy some beefy relays and wire the electric fan and relays into a switched 12 volt source and run it all the time.
The only drawback is it takes a few more minutes to warm up on cooler days if you can really call that a draw back.
If you dont like it running wire the 12 volt source going to your relay with a switch and you kick it on and off.
For what the factory relay will cost you can buy evereything you need for less than half the price of the OEM equipment.
