Im planning on adding alot of mods to my lx, and i want to know if anyone has any sugestions or thinks i shouldnt get something. here it is
Ford E-cam
1.7 rockers
trick flow track heat upper and lower
zex nitrous kit
MAC 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 long tube headers
MAC 2 1/2 prochamber mid pipe
MAC flow through mufflers
4.10 gears
posi traction
MSD distibuter, and coil
i dont know if i need bigger injectors and fuel pump because of the cam with the zex kit.
Sugestions?

What heads you plannin on runnin? And you cant get posi trac....... thats a Chevy thing. You can however get traction lok.
As for a cam - get a custom grind from crane or camp.

Just a good set of ported GT-40P's or regular GT-40's. If you go aluminum, go with Edelbrock rpm's, or Trick flow. Both are really nice quality and flow great and even better ported. But you could most likely fit the GT-40's into your budget, you can pick a set up from a junk yard or out of the paper for maybe $300-$500 and your going to definatly feel the difference with them. And another thing you should do is, instead of running the E cam, do what P zero is doing and run a B cam with 1.7 ratio rockers, you get more duration and higher lift than the E cam. That was a really nice idea on his part.

oh and another thing man, the MSD dizzy isnt really nessecary, save the money you spend on that and put it somewhere else. I would however spend that money on a MSD or Hi-6 ignition box since your going to be runing that Zex kit. As far as bigger fuel pump and innjectors, get some 24#'rs off of Ebay or out of the paper, and your probably going to need a new fuel pump at the least, just for saftey of that nitrous. Get a 255 Walbro or BBk pump. But the stock dizzy is perfectly fine for up to probably 500-550hp. If it makes you feel any better go get a rebuilt one they're about $90 or so at Advanced auto with a core charge. Just a thought.

You need to make sure your parts match or you will lose performance. The stage 1 cam is similar to the E cam, but has a split int/exh lift and duration. The track heat has a higher rpm range than what the rest of your setup will run. The track heat loses some low end tq and makes max power up to 6500 rpms, but your heads and cam crap out after about 5500-5700. The street heat will keep your low end and put your top end in the correct range. IMO, Mac headers are crap. Go w/ BBK or some other company that has a one piece flange to keep the primaries from warping under heat. You'll need better heads to realize any real gains from the cam/intake upgrades. <--This is from experience--I'm running worked over E7's w/ upgraded valvetrain and still wish I'd grabbed some GT40's for $300 or so.
Also, start planning on chassis/suspension upgrades. You'll "gain" a lot of power by removing the flex from the chassis. You'll also want to start planning your next move as far as a stronger tranny....
Hope that helps some.........
