RE: 97.....mountianeer?
well, i wouldnt say its going to increase hp. will there be noticable performance? yes
i think if u did the swap u get the #'s ford claimed back in the 80's... 225hp/300ftlbs torque
and im talking at the rear wheels not off the flywheel
once ford finaly went to real hp #'s the ol 5.0 was rated at 205rwhp

RE: 97.....mountianeer?
you having a 94-95 car...i dont even know if it would fit under your hood. Im not positive, the intake i mean. THe 94-95s upper intake is a little smaller, thats why they're rated 10hp under the 5.0's 225. The 94-95 has 215. But maybe someone else can chime in and tell you 100%, good luck...thats a pretty good price. Sell all the EFI stuff on Ebay. THe computer, injectors, harness, etc. Some of the emissions stuff...might even make your $350 back...who knows? LOL

it fits under the hood.... there is another member on here with the swap on an SN-95. its worth $350 for sure... put the heads and intake on... and you will notice a gain. sell the block and all the rest of the stuff you dont use, and make most of your money back.

Well those gt40p's flow better than stockers and so does the intake, so there will definately be a hp increase my friend, How big? I dont want to say a number and be bashed to hell for being wrong. I think its safe to say youll get at least 20 horsepower from the swap. Thats not too bad for the pprice, not to mention you can sell the parts you dont need and get some money back.
