I'm So Pissed! Trans Install
I went to install my TKO 600 just now with my dad and got it all lined up and in the splines and everything and was ready for the bolts and lo and behold the damn bolts that thread into the bellhousing (mcleod) are too big for the holes on the Tremec. I talked to the jerk off at mcleod on the phone the other day and he said I wouldn't have to drill the tranny holes with that particular bell and I thought, "well I'll check before I put it in anyway." and then I forgot to check it [:@][:@]. So we had to drop the heavy A trans and slide it back out from under the car so we can drill it now. I'm so pissed. Not to mention I pulled something in my arm the other night when we initially put the trans under the car and got it situated on the jack and not since I've strained it again today it's throbbing bad and trembling. Ahhhhh! Did I mention I'm pissed!

Thanks guys. I'm not as pissed as I usually get. When I realized I had to take it out again I thought "well it's just one of the pitfalls of working on a car. Especially when dealing with an aftermarket trans that will fit in about 100 different cars." I think my dad was more pissed than me actually. Oh well.

at least its not a major roadblock like the bellhousing is wrong, just drill them out and put the b*tch back in there!.... and yes you should kick yourself in the *** for not checking first...lol...j/k

well I hate to say but you didn't perpare like you should have in not checking the holes..do not take people's word thier not doing the work....I hope it's SFI approved.. good luck!
