Default My clutch is slipping

Hi my name is Keith and I am new here to this site. I just bought a 87 Mustang with a 347 and I think has a T-5 transmission. The last ownner told me that it was a T-5 and that he put it in 2 1/2-3 years ago when he put the 347 stroker kit in it. It is now slipping bad and I smell the clutch real bad It also would jerk around if I shifted it into other gears. I also here chattering whitch I think is comming from the transmission as well. I am in portugal where I bought the car and parts have to be shiped here. I am Not sure what clutch I need or any other parts as well. please help me solve my problem.

I am in the Air Force and I am on a island that is part of Portugal. Well I do not have enough money (just a E-2) for a Transmmision I have no clue what clutch to get or what parts And I need my car. Do you guys have any clue what clutch I could replace it with? The only reason I bought it was it was the best thing I could find here it was basically either this car or a 1.8 VW And I want have something with muscle in it. I have another year b4 I get to North Carolina where I can truely have fun with it!

I say go with a Centerforce clutch since your packing alot of torque from that stroker.

well i have a clutch adjust and that solved the problem. It is engaging just fine now thanks for the help anyways though.I foud out that a T-5 can have a 10 spline or 26 spline. Input shaft diameter will be 1.062", 1.125" or 1.140". And it will have either a 10.4", 10.5" or a 11" inch disk this what I want to make sure I get right. I defantly be dropping my tranny in the near future to figure out what clutch I will need to replace it with. It was bad ideal buying a car with a bunch of work that was done to it because I do not know what I got in it!
