dose any one know if the 93 lx inline4 trans will fit onto a 5.0

If its a 5speed it will fit with the proper bellhousing, however I wouldnt expect a very long lifespan out of it in this setup. Alotta guys around here are doing this for budget 5.0 swaps into 4cyls.

Don't swap it in. The 4cyl tranny are nothing compared to the 5.0 ones. They are JUNK!

Yea, theyll fit. But I bet most people arent doing it properly and getting a very short life out of em. You need to get a pilot bushing made out of bronze/brass. Otherwise the input shaft wont be supported properly and the trans will have a very short life. I had one in my '79 it actually lasted longer than my 5.0 ones.

ya cuz i have a 5.0 and i wanna put ti in my stang but i don't have the money to get a tranny right at this point

IT IS NOT A DIRECT BOLTIN !!!!!!

the input shaft is longer and the pilot is different as well

and it is rated for 30 ft/lbs less torque
