I probably should have made this thread erlier but im in the process of buying a stang and I wanted to know if its a good price and to get a heads up on want to look out for and what mods net the biggest gain.

As of now the stats are as follows:
cobra r wheels
kyb shocks
upgraded throttle body(I think it was 65mm)
and a powerdyne supercharger(yes i know its cheap) 9psi kit
cat-back exhaust
steeda shifter

car has 120,000 miles and has leather seats and he wants 5,500 for it

The goal is to net 400 crank hp.... What other mods do you guys think would get me there, im thinking a mild street cam, installing a air to air front mount intercooler, bbk equal length headers, h or x pipes, and either 24 or 30lb injectors.

 

hmm 400 to the crank? so about 340-350rwhp?

you can get the H/C/I combo and w/ the S/C

im assuming you should have enough

id say 30lb injectors

 

for 5500 i'd walk away from that

3 grand at the most IMO and thats being generous

edit: didnt see the supercharger

you know that **** was beat on like a LA hooker

 

+1 try to talk him down from that 5,500. I say start at 4,750 and see if you can work down to 4K.

 

its really that high?? blue book was 4,905 and it dosent compensate for the after market stuff....and its pretty damn clean there are no stains or rips anywhere on the leather or the headliner.. I think the owner took pretty good car of it cuase he seemed pretty picky about it.

shouldnt that thing be damn near 400 crank hp just with the 9psi kit?

 

I think its supposed to be in the 330-350 range... Im hoping I can get the extra 5-70 hp with bolt ons, a cam, and an intercooler.
