First 5.0 need help/advice
Drove her home yesterday. '95 GT with only 80K and the following mods.
Trick flow twisted wedge heads with full roller rocker
Cam .524 int .548 exh lift w/ 1.7 rockers
Bottom end engine griddle with 7-quart oil pan
MSD distributor with MSD 6AL ignition box
Edelbrock torquer II intake with matching 600 CFM Edelbrock carb
MAC shorty equal length headers
MAC underdrive pulleys
A/C and smog pump elimination brackets
Kevlar clutch with less than 500 miles on it and new steel flywheel
BM shifter
Full MAC exhaust with X pipes with out cats
Sub frame connectors
Tubular K frame with coil over
373 gears and aluminum rear end cover
Tubular rear control arms
You can probably already see the problem. It was going to be a race set up and the guy had to move and couldn't take the car. So, between the cam and intake I'm getting a rough idle and no low or mid-range torque with the single plane manifold. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do a Weiand stealth for the manifold but my questions is do I swap to 1.6 or 1.5 rockers. The cam specs I have (.524 int .548 exh lift) are with 1.6's. I'm trying to get the rest of the cam info (duration, lobe sepration, etc.) too.
She doesn't come on until 2500 and doesn't really make power until 4000, but when it does get in the power band whooo hooo!!!! I'm however looking to make it a daily driver so she needs some better street manners. Any advice is helpful and thanks in advance.

RE: First 5.0 need help/advice
no no, just change the cam. it ill bring the power band down, but now if your intake and cam are matched to make power in that rpm range, id leave it be, and supercharge the car.

i see no problem with that set up for everyday driving..

Actually your right save two things. One eventually I'll get a huge ticket from the man 'cause it ain't no fun to drive slow, Second I'd go through a set of rear tires a month 'cause I can't leave a light or stop sign unless I'm at 2500 RPM and I might as well bark into second gear too!!!!
BTW I like FiveLiterRiceEater, I've never been a vanity plate guy but I'm really considering TUNREATR.
