actually i think the hose is $48 (if the lady was telling me the right part) at the zone.

And why don't you just run a can of a/c stop leak through it first before you spend tons o' money.

I'm trying to help a co-worker fix her a/c currently. So i've done some research a little on google. found other forum posts and other do it yourself type sites and from what I gathered, it has actually worked, and presented no problems. I guess the only "bad" part might be is that theres's a hole near your accumulator and u wasted 10 dollars buying the stop leak because the hole was too big

Just got mine recharged/fixed for $70. It was leaking and not blowing cold, so they ran a die through the system, repaired the leaks and recharged the system. It wasn't a big deal because all the parts were in working order. The problem was with hose leaks.

I'm glad I have it and I have a convert.

Alot of times the leaks are where the rubber meets the metal on the hoses, you can run some uv dye through it and use a black light to check for a leak. I have seen some places that you send your old hoses to and they put new rubber and o rings on them and send them back. I say fix that s**T....i dont know where you live , but I cannot imagine life without ac here.....
