Default header gasket help please!

Does anyone have experience with copper header gaskets? Are they better than aluminum? Do they seal correctly or are there problems all the time? Would I be better off with aluminum or copper, or just a felpro header gasket? I DON'T want to take the headers off again to repair a leak or blown gasket so I'd rather just do it right the first time and spend the extra bucks.

I actually buy the factory replacement ones and bust out my die-grinder and enlarge the openings. You can use a dremel if you dont have a die grinder. I have no problems with the factory ones.

Is this a repost from the other thread?

Go with Fel-Pro.

N/m... if you have the 1 5/8" unequal shorties from BBK (as you mentioned in your other thread), then these gaskets should do the trick:

Might wanna double check though. I'm only human, haha.

I think those are for different heads. I have stock heads and the bolt pattern looks different. I just got the felpro gaskets made for the stock heads. hopefully they'll be good, the guy @ summit suggested some $48 stage 8 bolts and the fpp1415 felpro gaskets.

Cost like $65 for everything.

Plus I still need to buy a stat tonight ugh
