I got new fenders from late model and a new lx front bumper. They dont match up is there supposed to be somthing else I should have bought to make this work. Im doing an lx conversion from a gt. Any help will be appreciated. thanx

are they OEM replacement? (do they have ford stamped on them?)

i dont recomend changing a gt into and lx, but its your car. Anyway, when i put a new fender and bumper on it didnt line up very well either. I ended up having someone hold it exactly where it needed to be while i was tightening the bolts. It ended up great. How far off is everything? got any pics?

they are not oem and the fenders are probably an inch and a half higher then the bumper I know the gt's have extensions on the front fender but is it the same on the lx

If there are not OEM they are never going to match up correctly so get them as close as you can.

You might have been better off gettin them from a junkyard. But either way, you should be able to get them pretty close.

yeah the aftermarket ones fit like crap.. passenger side isnt too bad.. but driver side is terrible.
