I only put screw tops in there, but they always get warm fast. I don't like the water marks and I used to have a cupholder on the front of my armrest, but I got sick of looking at it, so back to the ebrake and I will deal with the water marks.

not to jack your thread or nothing man, but.... concerning having 'beverages' in your car.
I always felt good with the seats in a Mustang, they hold the can or bottle between your legs without spilling! ;-)
But here is an EXTREME safety tip!
Back in my day (late 80's), we used to put a 1/4 keg in the hatch and run the hose up to the back seat. Guy riding in the back seat was 'bartender' (he kept us up front full!). Anyhow, one night when dropping the guys off, the keg somehow shifted and when the hatch was slammed shut, the keg was off center and the glass hit it and blew my whole rear window out!!!! (I forget how I explained that on to my parents at the time). It was in my '87 GT. Had about 1500 miles on it at the time!!!!]
1. You booze, you loose.
2. IF you booze, make sure you keg's in the right place! ;-)

I use the e-brake spot.
Never had a spill in the car til a date put here coffee on the counter/dash.
Fox owners know what I mean.
I had to pull the dash apart cuz the coffee spilled behind the dash. What a mess.
She must have been drinking toxic sludge coffee, cuz it stunk up the car till I cleaned it.
To make things worse, the girl acted like it wasn't that big of a deal. I just got a real quick "Oh, sorry bout that."
No second date for you!
sorry, had to vent.

RE: I wanted to see how many of you actually do this...
I completely removed my console when i replaced the carpet(looks way cleaner) so it's either between my legs or holding the drink in one hand and shifting with the other with the wheel to go where it wants for however long it takes to shift.
