Default 2 Questions

1. Is it just me, or is the search feature useless on this site. I can't even get it to find a post with the word "transmission" in the last year.

2. I am trying to find out the year my transmission was made. Got under and looked around and found this stamped on it: RF-E3SP-7006. Is that what I need? I read something about a tag somewhere, but can't find it for the life of me. If that's what I need to find, anyone care to enlighten me as to where.

Was just told by a friend that the E3 in there indicates it is 1983. Sound right to anyone else?
