Default Need some advice

Like alot im new to the site too, i have a 1989 convertible lx 5.0 and havent done anything to it except exhaust.What are some things i should do first to improve my performance?

Those are good things to start with, you can also get a CAI and a bigger mass air/TB/EGR spacer.

new 3.73 rear gears will make it a lot more fun to drive as they really help it get up and go when you get down on it.

how big of a job is it to change the rear gears? and price?

gears will run around $190 plus install kit $90 and labor to install $250-300 depending on where you go, not something I would recommend you tackle yourself unless you have done it before and have the right tools to do it with.

Yea, I'm gonna be building an engine soon and I'm still gonna take my gears to have them installed when I get the money for the labor.
