Default T-56 in a 5.0...

Anyone here have a T-56 in there 5.0? If you do, did you encounter any problems puting it in your stang? My mustang was an AOD and I just pulled out the AOD to put in a t-56. but when it came time to adjust the cable with the firewall adjuster and cable adjuster...I found that the fork seems to be sitting too forward and hits the bellhousing not letting the clutch disengage...i was told that the pivot stud is to small...and i should get a longer one...has anyone else experience this...now my car is just sitting there.

The front part of the fork hits the bellhousing...as the fork moves forward to disengage the clutch the face hits the bellhousing...i cant really thin out the face of the fork...yea man i cant wait to have it running...but just this little detail is holding me back..
