Does your A/C blow:

Does your A/C blow:
Just a quick poll to determine the normal cooling capacity of our A/C systems. I've noticed that my newly charged (R134) system does not make my car freezing cold. Just wondering if this is normal for Mustangs. Please also list whether you have R12 or R134. Thanks.

RE: Does your A/C blow:
There is a difference in cooling between the 2 refrigerants. The r-12, is a much better system for cold air. Put a thermometer in your vents to see what the temp is. You'll usually see a 10* difference in temp while driving than idleing. The ambient temp and humidity will also make a difference.

Thanks fellas. The guy at the A/C shop said it was at 50* right when he finished. Maybe a silly question, but is it as cold the moment you recharge the system as it's ever gonna get.

Yeah, it's not like something has to work it's way in. Like I said, it's been my past experience most of the time converted systems don't cool as well as the original 12 system.
