Default 110 octane leaded race gas

I am curious what u guys think..

I was wanting to dump maybe 3-4 gallons of 110 leaded race gas in my tank (I currenlty have roughly 1/4 tank..

again my stats are:
87 5.0 5spd
summit H pipes and summit duel exhaust with imco mufflers (no converters)
K&N drop in filter
ford racing 9mm wires
summit 40k volt coil
ngk G-power plugs
still running both oxygen sensors

just curious what u guys think.. should I run a can of NOS octane booster only or would it be ok for me to put 3-4 gallon of 110 race gas in my tank..

what will be the pros and cons of doing so?

I heard if I have no cats (which I dont) that I will be ok, but I have also heard that if u have o2's u can burn them out also

Dave

If you're going to do it, bump your timing to 18-19* and rip on it.

run the fuel your car needs... uping the octane DOES NOTHING FOR PERFORMANCE.... just costs you $$$ that you could send to me...

if the car is made to run on 87 and you bump up the timing to 14* shoud you run 93 octane even though the car is made to run on 87? (sorry to hijack the thread)

well when i said designed, i meant all factory settings.

people have bumped up their timing without needing higher octane but if u advanced ur timing and u hear pinging, u need to run higher octane.
