The plug that plugs into the voltage regulator on the back of the alternator isn't right. It doesn't kick in unless you move it to the left or right.. so some connections within are bad. I took it apart and couldn't find the bad connection but I know thats it so I guess Ill replace the regulator.

It must, but I took it apart, cleaned it and kept it as tight as possible and its still not connecting fully...

Could always replace it. Might be something in the regulator.
